unnamedAquaponics: Solving World Hunger!

Come to HiveBio and work with scientists from Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) to explore the world of systems biology and sustainable agriculture!
What is Aquaponics?
Aquaponics is a method of sustainable food production. The focus of this project is to study this system of aquaculture in which wastes produced by farmed fish or other aquatic animals contributes nutrients for plants grown hydroponically. These plants, in turn, purify the water and create a self-sustaining garden!
HiveBio is maintaining our own Aquaponic system provided by Back to the Roots. Citizen scientists actively record and monitor our system through Project Feed 1010, a crowd-sourced project at the Institute of Systems Biology which is committed to sustainable agriculture research and STEM education.
